Why I Should Get A Laptop-Persuasive Paragraph (MOM!!!)

ooookay so for grad or my birthday or christmas or easter or SOMETHING SOON i want a laptop, and i dont care if i have to pay for part of it. Also, i DO have a REQUIRED FEATURES list:
-microsoft word
-webcam
-windows movie maker
-INTERNET
-enough space to install my sims game
-be able to turn that weird typing thing OFF(the one where wherever the mouse is it starts typing there)

you see, as the responsible young adult i am, i feel that i need something other than just Colon(the dinosaur my mom gave me, the one that makes a noise at such high frequency it hurts my ears and takes up ALL my desk space) to do school work that, yes, does include internet research.

i need to have my own separate research source for those days that i need to do research for a school project and mason or my mom are using the computer for freaky games/facebook(*cough* MOM *cough*). Also, i need something that i can type my stories right on to and then copy and paste them, as opposed to typing, saving onto a memory stick, coming downstairs, waiting 'till i have a time slot, waiting 'till it formats to the newer version of word, re-formatting it on word, copying and pasting, going upstairs, writing more, REPEAT.

Yes, i do understand that that would prevent my mom from checking the website's i've been on, but i WOULD let her do a web history check every now and then.

I feel this would be a win-win situation because my mom would have more time to herself and mason on the computer and i wouldn't have to bug her with watching youtube videos while she's trying to watch her "soaps".
