When you were three, and your parents asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up, you said "Princess", "Astronaut", "Fireman", or "Ballerina". Then, when you were ten, they asked you the same question. your responses became more practical, "Doctor", "Lawyer", "Teacher", or in my case, "Either a Geologist or a TV writer." Then, when you were 13 or 14, you were forced to choose either "College, University, or Workplace", and out of fear, you chose either "College" or "University". Then you got to thinking, "What am I good at? What am I passionate about?" If you were too scared to admit your true passions to yourself, you figured they weren't worth pursuing and decided to give up. You would be what you were good at, not what you wanted to be. Then you suddenly grew up and graduated high school and went to college and lived your whole life happily, but you were never fully happy, you never felt fulfilled. Then you got older, and older, and older, and you were retired and alone and you wondered, "Why didn't i do that when i was in high school", and you read about your old dreams and wish that you had just a little more passion, a little more faith in yourself.
Statistics may show that only 99% of people in the world aren't famous, but don't let that stop kids from living their dreams and trying to get where they want to be.
IN A NUTSHELL, Parents, don't let your kids give up on their dreams and LISTEN for once. We have a lot to say, trust me.
